To Start a Search

Using MyTown is very simple. There are 4 main ways to search the site,all of which are accessed from the home page or from the title bar on all pages within the site.

• Search all categories for everything happening TODAY
• Search all categories for everything happening THIS WEEKEND
• Select a specified CATEGORY of interest and search by date range
• Start a CUSTOM SEARCH which allows for the combination of multiple search atributes

• Upon selection of your preferred search method you will be preseneted with a list of SEARCH RESULTS
• From this list of search results you will immediately see a list of EVENTS. There are also lisitings of ongoing activities and community
• events which can be accessed by selecting the tab along the top of the search results list
• EVENTS occur for less than 30 days
• ONGOING ACTIVITIES occur from 31 days a year up to 365 days a year
• COMMUNITY EVENT listings are...activities or events that you would normally see posted on the Community Board at your local grocery store or community centre. Activites such as Church BBQ's, neighborhood events, etc.

• You can then look through the results as they are presented to you or you can narrow the search results using the left hand Filter Menu. This menu will allow you to filter results by:
• Event Name
• Date Range
• Sub-Region (Geographic regions within each Town or City)
• Category

• To view the details of an Event or Activity of interest, simply select the "See Activity Detail" button

Using My Activity Planner

• My Activity Planner is a location for users to save event and activity detail in a personalized and private calendar listing. As you spend time viewing  various events and activities throughout the year, My Activity Planner can be your central planning calendar to keep track on these items of interest and also to post ratings and reviews, select event reminders, and see if valuable coupons are available.
• It is the starting point for most registered users to view activities and events that they've chosen to keep track of as well as a location to start new searches
• This is a Registered Users Entry Point into the many benefits of the site
