Hello O-Townies and TGIF.  After 2 very cold days in the Capital, the weekend is shaping up to be beautiful.  Among some of the options this weekend are:  watch the Sens vs Jets for Free at Scotiabank Place, The Bachelor and  Bachelorette Show, Bird Watching in Aylmer, and the 12th Annual Home Renovations Show, and Psychic Fair.  Our best bet for this weekend would be skating on the Rideau Canal as it just opened this morning.  Perhaps toboganning at one of the...

Breakout Strategy Session - Sens Open Practice

MyTown attended the Sens open practice today at Scotiabank Place.  The team looked great.  All the big names were in attendance along with a number of possibly undecided players.  There was probably about 1,000 fans in attendance in anticipation for Saturday's season opening in Winnipeg against the Jets.

SBP will be open for fans to come out and watch the broadcast on the big screens so put on your red and join the fun!

Also of note is that the Sens store at...

Happy Thursday O-Townies!

This weeks update is dedicated to our beloved Senators and the return of the NHL.  Yeah, yeah we all say we are not going to watch but give it 2 weeks and we'll all be pumped again to see what might be Daniel Alfredsson's last season.  Since they are not yet ready to go perhaps some other ideas for this weekend such as the 2013 Winter Bridal Show, or the International Motorcycle Show. Skiing, snowboarding or snow tubing is available at most...

A view inside Mezzanotte Bistro

We had the pleasure sitting down to a great meal at the Byward Market's Mezzanotte Bistro this past week.  This is an ultra modern chic venue with a very nice menu.   The patrons tended to be 25-40 years of age but there both older and younger as well.   There is a good selection of wines and cocktails and the atmosphere is very cool.  The meal was prepared to perfection and the service was very good.  It is not a cheap meal but it is reasonable for the...
