The Landon Bay Centre is a 225 acre Ecological Reserve within the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve and is in the famous Thousand Islands region close to the Town of Gananoque. The Centre is maintained by The Barbara Heck Foundation, which is dedicated to protecting the environment with low impact facilities and activities.
At The Landon Bay Centre, the Foundation offers opportunities for environmental education, with an extensive network of walking trails, a scenic look-out, a large meeting hall, and a family campground.
Tranquility and a sense of spiritual presence are experienced as one walks the trails and meadows. The Rosette Pavilion, with its raised gardens, is wheelchair accessible and can be enjoyed by everyone.
Venture into the fields and forests to the osprey nest, beaver dam and pond alive with nature's creatures. Signs and printed information guide you to the Lookout with its panoramic view of the 1000 Islands or through the mature forests and along the banks of Landon Bay and Halstead Creek. Spend an hour or all day walking the trails.
